Sometimes you get to a place that surrounds you with a strong atmosphere and energy. This happened to me during a visit to the CLIS dance group training. For them, it was just another common practice, but for me it was opportunity to experience something extraordinary. I let myself drift away and enjoy as much of the energy here as possible. I have witnessed moments of building the long-standing friendships. I am convinced that even if they will grow once and their life will forced them to end up with similar activities, they will have truly remarkable memories for this time. And I have one roll of 36 from there. Here it is.
This was my second year when I visited a number of exhibitions from the Moon of Photography festival in Bratislava. It is an opportunity for me to meet people for whom photography is a very important part of their lives. And it is a great honor for me to attend exhibitions with great personalities of Slovak and Czech photography. It greatly enriches my view of the photo and it also influences the way I approach photography. Thank you my friends!
In Slovakia, we are not celebrating Halloween as such. We celebrate a Memorial to the dead and the Feast of all saints. Even though western culture has penetrated us with great influence, pumpkins have been there since I remember.
These are from National Rehabilitation Center (NRC) in Kováčová in Slovakia. It is the place where human fates meet. A place where hope fights with hopelessness, sadness with joy, fighting spirit with resignation. It’s a place full of stories. This year I went to rehab after 9 years. I am so glad I did so.
My niece celebrated third birthday. Time is flying fast and I am glad to have the opportunity to be part of it. She is growing now, but once I will be able to enter her future by these photos reminding her childhood.
During the last weekend, the son of my brother celebrated seven birthdays. I decided to leave my XT-1 at home and take back the old X100 again. Who knows this camera knows that speed is not the strong side of this machine. And taking photos of fast moving kids was a challenge. But some shots made me really happy. It’s a great camera!
I am a satisfied user of Fujifilm. My main camera is Fuji XT-1, but for a long time I’ve been looking for something smaller. Something what I can throw in my backpack and have it always with me. Firstly I wanted to get some tiny profi compact, but then I decided differently. I searched the bazaars and found the old Fujifilm X100 in a limited black edition. Is it worth buying in 2017?
There is a city on the southeast coast of the Gulf of Persia. A city that has made its country famous, but so different from the rest of it. Dubai, is a showcase of the wealth of United Arab Emirates. Experiencing Dubai is in the mood today. Because Dubai shows what a man is capable of. What he can easily create if he just can. So man has an endless variety of possibilities there – If you have a money for that. In any case, Dubai is worth a visit. It is a truly exceptional city. But what is the overall impression of it? Is it artificial or is it just a unique experience?
Rio is an amazing city. You can find many contrasts there. It is incredibly diverse. It is as dirty as beautiful, sometimes dangerous but fascinating, disturbing but soothing. You will discover it with amazingly rich culture and endless possibilities. I wish I could get to know this city better. Maybe once.
I have no need to recall the fact that Paralympic games are full of strong moments and emotions. In sports, emotions are just what people are attracted to. What attracts them and what makes them the best to get their fans. Emotions are what makes sport a sport. Emotions are that reason, why people turn on TV. Rio 2016 Paralympics was no exception. I am lucky I can see what’s going on behind the scenes. And here’s a few moments, especially from behind the scenes. From venues.
